Destiny is currently working as a Data Scientist at Tickr, where she leverages her analytical skills to develop sophisticated models in the areas of CPG & retail pricing, substitutions, forecasting, and causal inference. She actively collaborates with clients to understand their pain points and solve their problems using advanced data science techniques. Before her current tenure at Tickr, Destiny played a crucial role at the University of Minnesota as an Information Technology Specialist where she managed a range of technical operations for one of the university's largest labs. In addition, Destiny has worked for Photonic Pharma, Spark-Y Youth Action Labs and Accuratus Lab Services. She holds a Master's in Data Science from the University of Minnesota.
This post addresses the challenge of identifying substitutable goods in consumer behavior analysis by leveraging large-scale shopping cart data. We introduce a sequential probabilistic model called "SHOPPER" developed by Ruiz, Athey, and Blei, to analyze hundreds of thousands of shopping trips encompassing millions of transactions.
